Tourette's Syndrome - How to Recognize It

Program Narrative:

Tourette syndrome is a poorly understood neurological condition that can have a profound impact on a. Child's life. However, having a greater understanding of the condition; knowing how to diagnose it and being aware of the treatments available can significantly improve the outcomes for children struggling with Tourette syndrome. This presentation is designed to help clinicians recognize the syndrome.

Learning Objectives:

1. Participants will be able to identify 3-4 characteristics Tourette syndrome

2. Participants will be able to identify the gold-standard assessment tool used to diagnose Tourette syndrome
3. Participants will be able to identify the evidence-based treatments that exist for Tourette syndrome

To Obtain CE Credit:  Two (2) Continuing Education Credits Available
Attendee must sign in and out of the program - be present for the entire program. A link to the evaluation form will be sent to each attendee. This form must be completed and the CE certificate must be paid for within 7 days of the program date. Payment for CE Certificate is made to NJPA when completing the evaluation form.

Please note that our Thursday Luncheon/Speaker Events are held at the Rutgers Club on the Livingston Campus of Rutgers University in Piscataway. It is on the 2nd floor of the Livingston Dining Commons, which is located at 85 Avenue E, Piscataway, NJ 08854. If you register in advance for the event, you will be given a link to register your car for parking in their attached parking lot on the day of the event. Otherwise, parking can be found in Lot 101 on the Livingston Campus.
